Correct-To-Bill

Defining our Correct-To-Bill philosophy

Correct-To-Bill™ is how we define our unique ability to offer predictive accuracy for the reports we process for our medical coding clients through a combination of:

  • National coding guidelines
  • Input from nationally recognized certified coders
  • Multiple elements of technology
  • Statistical analysis
  • Supervised learning

The process allows CodeRyte to provide clients with the insight they need to make informed decisions about what can be sent direct to bill based on their characterization of their organization’s type and volume of work.

CodeRyte’s predictive accuracy enables clients to pre-determine under what circumstances they want to send reports straight from our coding engine directly into their billing system without human coder review, other than a small sample for on-going quality assurance. CodeRyte’s predictions of accuracy encompass:

  • The specific language of each report
  • The context in which the language is used
  • The precise reasons the engine selected those codes in context
  • The historical coding patterns of an organization’s coders when reviewing similar reports

CodeRyte’s approach to “supervised learning” goes beyond machine learning, pairing our clients with our team of coding experts to analyze trends and changes made by an organization’s coders. This continuous improvement process further increases our clients’ coding accuracy, statistical confidence and identifies areas for physician documentation review.

Our clients define their own threshold for what coding results they consider correct and what can be approved without human review. The client’s decision is enabled by our statistical prediction of accuracy combined with their own assessment of their coding outcomes.

We maintain our Correct-To-Bill approach in every element of our business, striving for the highest levels of accuracy for all of your records, including those that require review by your coders. Specific features such as real-time LCD (NCD) and CCI edits, concurrent auditing and the ability to view related reports help you increase the accuracy of your coding outcomes and help you process those reports quickly and efficiently.
